Zombie Duck

HPIM6310Whoever thought of Daylight Savings Time should be given 50 lashes with a wet noodle. I am still walking around like a zombie – and it’s been 5 days. Sleep is very important to me – I need 8 hours in order to function like a regular human being. When I don’t get my 8, I am dragging all day (and I don’t drink coffee so no help there). When the clocks are changed it’s like I have jet lag – even if I get my 8 hours in. My body seems to know that I am getting up at 5 a.m. even though the clock says it is 6 a.m. Doesn’t matter that I am going to bed at 8:30 p.m. even though the clock says 9:30 p.m. It just messes with my internal clock no matter what. So I’ve been in zombie land this week. Dazed and not quite able to function – starting to fix a meal and then forgetting about it because I sat down to read the paper, but got distracted by the tv. Eyes feeling as if they have sand in them all the time. Wanting to lay on the floor at work and go to sleep. Eating lunch in my car and dozing off and then getting back to work late. Hopefully this weekend will help as I don’t have to work and can sleep in as late as I want. I am sooo looking forward to that. I will eventually get used to the time change in a few weeks – but then I’ll have to blame getting back to work late on something else.
