My side yard is full of dandelions much to my chagrin. As I was walking about the yard the other day I came across this monstrous one with the stem as large as a celery stalk. The honeybee is dwarfed by the immense blossom that is about as big as four regular-sized dandelions. I was amazed by the size of it to be sure. Yesterday I contemplated mowing that area of the yard but saw so many bees enjoying their bounty that I put it off. I didn’t want to disappoint them which I know is silly. I’ll mow it tomorrow – or maybe the next day…
