My First Big Sale

Pricing my work has always been difficult for me. How do you know how much you are worth? This San Francisco Garter Snake was my first taste of the value of what I was doing. I do not remember the starting bid for this snake on ebay but I am sure it was only about $5.00. It sold for 10 times that amount! I was in shock and kept looking at it and trying to figure out why someone would pay so much for a painted rock. I have always struggled financially and the thought of paying that much money for something like that was beyond my comprehension. My pastor told me that sometimes God blesses people with money so that they can bless others. I had never considered that before. Whatever the reason, the sale of this snake gave me hope that I could actually make money at what I do and showed me that people really do like my work – and that really was priceless.
