I really love to paint abstracts! The ones I do are really controlled and contain a lot of repeating patterns. I especially like to add shading and highlighting to create depth. Black and white paintings are my favorites because I love the contrast so much. The only problem is that there isn’t much of a market for these paintings. The abstracts that sell well are usually ones done in lots of color and are very fluid and are huge in size. I don’t do those – I wish I could, but I am not a “fluid” person. Oh well – I’ll continue to do what I can do regardless of how well they sell – just because I enjoy them so much and end up saying to myself, “Wow! That’s really cool!”
